Green Building

We make an effort to bring common sense green and sustainable building practices to our projects, while maintaining emphasis on value, quality materials and superior craftsmanship. Colorado is our home; our families have been here since the late 19th century. We have made a commitment to Colorado and care about our Front Range community and are growing our business in a manner that will allow us to contribute to it for years to come.

Do you want to go green when building your new living space?

Yes, maybe, no … the choice is yours. The Basement Edge will help you explore your options when you are considering a new basement or remodeling project.

Before going green became popular, it was a lot harder to find environmentally friendly options. These options were also a lot more expensive, due to the limited availability. We find that most homeowners have been interested in going green however in the past the added cost has been a major deterrent.

While some things may still be too costly to replace in your existing living space, it may make a lot of sense when starting new, such as a tankless water heater or more efficient furnace system for your new lower level, sealing your ducts prior to the ceiling being finished, using a higher R-value insulation, or installing more energy efficient windows. These are all options we can discuss and provide you with the information necessary to make an educated decision.

The Basement Edge is conscientious about recycling. We make sure that any usable building material is donated to the Habitat for Humanity. We dispose of waste appropriately and in an environmentally friendly way.
